Will the driver handle ferry timing?

Yes. They watch the Jadrolinija and catamaran departures from the Riva port and get you there with margin, which matters in summer when the promenade is packed.

How much does it cost?

Price depends on the vehicle, the hours and the distance, so we give it to you on booking once we know the plan. Croatia uses the euro.

Can we change the plan on the day?

That's normal with a day hire. Decide at lunch you'd rather drive up the Cetina valley than sit on the Riva, tell your driver, and they adjust.

The old town is Diocletian's Palace and the Riva, both closed to cars, so a good driver knows exactly where the walkable edge is and drops you there. In summer the coast road backs up past Omis and the centre snarls near the ferry port, and that is where a driver who takes the inland back routes earns their keep. Keep one on the day and you can run the Riva, a long lunch up the Cetina valley, and be back before the evening catamaran without watching a meter. It is less a taxi and more having a car and a person who both belong to your day.

Is this by the trip or by the day?

Either. Book a single run like airport to apartment, or keep one driver and car for the whole day while you move around. Plenty of people start with one trip and extend it once they see how it works.

Does the driver wait between stops?

Yes, that is the whole point of a personal driver. They stay with you, keep the bags in the car, and move when you're ready rather than being re-booked for each leg.

Can they get us into the old town?

As close as anyone can. Diocletian's Palace and the Riva are pedestrian, so your driver drops you at the walkable edge and collects you at the same spot when you message.
